Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda (added to milk)
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 lb. dates
2 c. broken nuts
1 lb. orange candy slices, cut up
2 c. coconut
Preparation

Mix together margarine and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
Mix flour and soda in separate bowl.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately, ending with flour.
Add orange rind, dates, nuts, orange slice candy and coconut; mix well.
Pour in greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
Cool on rack 15 minutes; invert cake on rack to cool.
