Caramel Cake Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 stick margarine
Preparation
    Melt butter and sugar and stir in cream.
    Cook to a soft ball. Take off stove and let stand 5 minutes.
    Beat and add 1/2 teaspoon soda; spread on cake.
