Red Velvet Cake And Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 tsp. cocoa
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Mix food coloring, vanilla and cocoa.
    Blend into cream mixture.
    Add flour alternately with the buttermilk to the creamed mixture.
    Mix soda, salt and vinegar; add to the mixture.
    Mix very well.
    Pour into 3 cake pans.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool on racks.
