Pennsylvania Dutch Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pastry-lined tins
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or part other shortening
1 c. molasses
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. soda (scant)
sprinkle of salt
Preparation

Mix flour, 1 cup brown sugar and butter to make crumbs.
Mix molasses, hot water, soda and other cup of brown sugar.
Sprinkle a layer of crumbs in bottom of each tin, then pour in half of liquid. Add a few more crumbs, rest of liquid, then top with crumbs.
Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) until firm.
