Italian Meat Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp. sweet basil
1 Tbsp. olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/4 lb. hamburger
1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
water
1 tsp. sugar
1 bay leaf
Preparation

Brown onion, garlic and sweet basil in olive oil.
Add salt and pepper.
Add meat and brown.
Add tomato puree, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Fill each can with cold water and pour water into sauce.
Add sugar and bay leaves, stir well.
Cover.
Simmer for 1 hour.
Uncover and simmer 1 hour more.
Serve over cooked spaghetti.
