Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped cabbage
    12 large green peppers, chopped
    12 large red peppers, chopped
    12 large onions, chopped
    1/2 gal. chopped green tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. ground mustard
    1 Tbsp. ground ginger
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cover chopped ingredients with 10% brine for 12 to 24 hours. Drain; heat spices to boiling point.
    Mix vegetables; stir well and let stand overnight.
    Stir in morning.
    Pack in sterilized jars.
