Angel Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 angel food cake
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Beat cream cheese until creamy.
    Gradually add powdered sugar and extract.
    Beat until well mixed.
    Fold in Cool Whip.
    Set aside.
    Cut angel food cake into 1-inch squares.
    Fold cake into Cool Whip mixture; add pecans.
    Press mixture into 8-inch square container.
    Top with cherry pie filling.
    Refrigerate.
