Marinara Sauce With Red Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onions, minced
    2 cloves garlic, chopped very fine
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 (2 lb.) can Italian plum tomatoes*
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    3/4 c. dry red wine
    3 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. dry oregano or 1 Tbsp. fresh oregano
    2 Tbsp. parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Preparation
    *Put tomatoes in a blender
    and
    puree\tfor 1 minute if you do not want tomato chunks in sauce.
