Sponge Cake-Trinidad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. oleo
    1 lb. sugar
    1 lb. flour
    1 lb. eggs (about 8)
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    peeling of 1 lime or orange
Preparation
    Mix oleo and sugar until fluffy.
    Beat eggs with peeling of lime or orange.
    Add eggs and lime peel to sugar and oleo mixture. Add flour and baking powder in 4 parts.
    Beat well.
    Add vanilla. Beat well.
    Remove peeling and pour mixture into well-greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
