Old-Timer Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
    small amount cornstarch
    2 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add milk.
    Mix salt and small amount of cornstarch with sugar.
    Add this and flavoring to the egg mixture.
    Mix well and pour into pie shell.
    Sprinkle top with nutmeg.
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes, then turn over to 350\u00b0 and bake for another 20 minutes.
