Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. applesauce
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/4 c. raisins
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    In bowl, cream butter and shortening until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in sugar.
    Beat in egg.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce, mixing well.
    Add corn syrup, raisins and chopped nuts and transfer to greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or more.
