Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 c. white flour
    1 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add the milk and egg to the creamed mixture.
    Combine the dry ingredients and add to the liquid mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes to 1 hour in bread pan.
