Asparagus Ham Roll-Ups - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    24 fresh or frozen asparagus spears
    8 thin slices fully cooked ham (about 1/2 lb.)
    1/4 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Stir in flour and cook until thick.
    Gradually stir in milk and cook until bubbly and thickened.
    Stir in cheese, salt and pepper.
    Remove from heat.
    Place 3 asparagus spears on each ham slice.
    Roll up; fasten with toothpicks if necessary.
    Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; cover with cheese sauce.
    Sprinkle with crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    I serve this as a main dish.
