Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    4 c. milk
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar in milk in top of 2-quart double boiler.
    Heat about to boiling point.
    Stir eggs in.
    Cook until mixture coats a spoon.
    Do not boil.
