Mary Perkins' Pumpkin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white flour
    1/4 c. whole wheat flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. pumpkin
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Sift together first 5 ingredients. Cream shortening. Gradually blend in sugars.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating about 1 minute after each.
    Blend in pumpkin.
