Barley Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. pearl barley
8 c. stock
1/2 c. butter
2 c. onions, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
4 Tbsp. sour cream
1/2 c. celery, chopped
2/3 c. mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
-
Simmer barley in 1/2 of stock until tender.
Add butter gradually.
Boil chopped vegetables until tender in remaining stock, then add cooked barley and seasoning.
When ready to serve, add sour cream.
Serves 6.
