Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix or 1 prebaked angel food cake
    1 large Cool Whip
    1 large pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 large can cherry pie filling or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    3 to 4 bananas
    cut up maraschino cherries
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    If using cake mix, bake cake as directed.
    Cool.
    Break either cake being used into pieces.
    Place 1/2 of chunks into punch bowl. Put 1/2 of prepared pudding over cake, then put a layer of bananas.
    Next, put 1/2 of pineapple (don't drain).
    Follow with 1/2 of cherries or strawberries, juice included.
    Now carefully spread 1/2 of Cool Whip on.
    Repeat layers all again starting with cake and ending with Cool Whip.
    Garnish with nuts and maraschino cherries.
    Best when let set in refrigerator overnight.
