Cheese Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Combine yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar and water; let stand 5 minutes.
    Add buttermilk; set aside.
    Combine flour, soda, baking powder and 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse meal.
    Stir in cheese.
    Add buttermilk and yeast mixture; stir only until moist.
    Cover and chill for 30 minutes. Make into biscuits.
    Cover; let rise for 30 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
