Bobbie'S Lemon Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 beaten eggs
    1 (2 oz.) bottle lemon extract
    4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. white raisins
    4 c. shelled pecans
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Soften butter and cream sugar together, add beaten eggs and lemon extract, mix thoroughly.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add half to butter and sugar mixture.
    Blend.
    Add raisins and pecans to other half of dry ingredients.
    Add everything and mix well.
    Put in a greased tube pan.
    Sit on top shelf and add pie pan of water on lower shelf.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
