Cherry Cheese Charmer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry or black cherry Jell-O
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (8 3/4 oz.) can pitted dark sweet cherries
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Preparation
    Dissolve Jell-O, sugar and salt in boiling water.
    Drain cherries, measuring syrup; add water to make 3/4 cup as necessary. Add syrup and lemon juice to Jell-O.
    Gradually blend Jell-O into softened cream cheese. Chill until very thick.
    Then whip until fluffy.
    Fold in drained cherries.
