Swedish Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. whole pecan halves (1 lb.)
    1 c. sugar
    2 stiff beaten egg whites
    3/4 stick butter/margarine
Preparation
    Toast pecans on cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 until lightly brown. Fold sugar into egg whites and beat again to stiff peaks.
    Fold toasted pecans into egg whites.
    Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread nut mixture in pan and bake 30 minutes.
    Turn mixture with spatula every 10 minutes.
    Let cool a bit, then break apart.
