Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    pinch of salt
    3 egg yolks
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 stick or 3 Tbsp. butter
    1 can coconut
Preparation
    Cook in a double boiler:
    sugar, flour, salt, egg and milk until thickened.
    Then add butter, vanilla and coconut.
    Pour in unbaked pie shell.
    Makes 2 pies.
    Use egg whites for meringue.
