Lemon Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
grated rind of 1 lemon
1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Add lemon rind and walnuts.
Pour batter into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and while still warm, spread with a mixture of the juice of one lemon, mixed with about 4 tablespoons sugar.
When the loaf cools, this forms a sugary crust on top.
