Krusciki (Angel Wings) - cooking recipe

6 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. whiskey, brandy or lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 to 3 c. sifted flour
oil (for frying)
powdered sugar
Preparation

Beat egg yolks, sour cream, vanilla, whiskey and salt. Then add enough flour to make a dough that holds together. Knead until smooth and dough doesn't stick to hands. Roll out very thin. Cut into strips about 1 1/2 x 4-inches. Make a slit in the center of each strip and turn inside out. Fry in deep hot grease; dough will bubble a little. After dough rises to the top, turn over and fry about 1 minute. These are very fragile, so handle gently. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
