Dublin Coddle(Irish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. ready-to-use beef broth
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. Irish pork sausage or 1 (8 oz.) pkg. precooked breakfast link, cut in half
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. thickly sliced bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 large onions, sliced
    3 lb. red potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
    1/2 c. loosely packed parsley leaves
    3 carrots, sliced
Preparation
    In saucepan combine broth, sausage, bacon and 1 cup water. Bring to boiling and boil 5 minutes.
    With slotted spoon, remove sausage and bacon.
    Reserve broth.
