Cherokee Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. long-cooking rice, precooked
    6 (or more) stuffed olives, sliced
    grated cheese (for top)
Preparation
    Brown meat. Add onion and cook over medium heat until onion is tender; drain. Stir in seasoning, tomatoes, soup, rice and olives. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Spoon into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Top with cheese.
    Bake to melt cheese. Garnish with additional sliced olives.
