German Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion
    1 medium bell pepper
    1 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. dry mustard seed
    1 c. Wesson oil (I use 1/4 c.)
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Cut slaw mixture.
    Sprinkle
    1\tcup sugar over it.
    Let stand while you
    bring
    to
    a
    boil the oil, vinegar, salt and spices. Pour over
    slaw
    while
    hot
    and let stand overnight. Will keep in refrigerator for several days. I only put 1/2 cup sugar.
    This is good
    without
    sitting overnight.
    I also add some carrots.
