West Virginia Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce (thin strips)
1 c. celery, thin diced
1 c. green pepper, thin diced
1 medium onion, thin strips
1 c. cucumber, thin strips
1 c. carrots, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. mayonnaise
6 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
4 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
Preparation

Layer in a large bowl the first 6 ingredients.
Add sugar. Top with the mayonnaise, grated cheese and crumbled bacon. Before serving, mix all together.
This can be made the night before and you can add the vegetables you like.
