Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. oil
    2 c. chopped onion (less if prefer)
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
    9 c. water
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    2 carrots, sliced
    1 c. cut green beans (1 small can drained)
    1 c. macaroni (uncooked)
    2 tsp. salt or to taste
    1/4 tsp. pepper or to taste
    1/8 tsp. ground sage
    2 (1 lb.) cans kidney beans (undrained)
    1 zucchini, sliced (not peeled)
Preparation
    Heat oil in large kettle.
    Add next 4 ingredients until tender but not browned.
    Add rest of ingredients and cook until macaroni is done.
    When eating you can top your serving with grated Parmesan cheese.
