German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cans sliced potatoes, drained
    4 or 5 strips bacon, cooked and drained (save the grease)
    2 or 3 Tbsp. flour
    1 onion, chopped
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Put chopped onion in bacon grease.
    Cook until it looks half done.
    Add flour and cook until brown.
    Then add sugar, vinegar and water.
    Bring to a boil until thickens, then add potatoes and bacon. Stir, then remove from heat.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Serve while hot.
