Chess Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box butter recipe cake mix
1/2 c. butter (1 stick), melted
1 egg
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 box 10x sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg.
Mix thoroughly (will be very thick).
Press into lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Set aside.
Combine cream cheese, 3 eggs, sugar and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer until smooth and pour over crust in baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool completely. Cut into squares.
Cake will fall as it cools, making thin, chewy squares.
