Oven Baked French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
    4 c. milk
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter, melted and cooled
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of salt
    16 slices French bread with crusts (each slice 2 1/2-inch in diameter, 1/2-inch thick)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar for 1 minute until creamy and thick.
    Add milk, butter, vanilla, nutmeg and salt and beat well.
