Party Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (0.17 oz.) pkg. unsweetened tropical punch flavored drink mix
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry flavored gelatin
    1 c. sugar
    1 (46 oz.) can unsweetened pineapple juice
    1 (67.6 oz.) bottle ginger ale, chilled
Preparation
    Combine drink mix, gelatin and sugar in a large bowl.
    Add 1 cup boiling water; stir until sugar dissolves.
    Stir in pineapple juice and 2 quarts cold water.
    Can be frozen.
    Add ginger ale; stir until slushy.
    Yields 1 1/2 gallons.
