Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 sq. butter
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. yeast, dissolved in water
Preparation
    Mix to sponge; let rise for 1 hour.
    Mix enough flour to make soft firm dough.
    Knead, cover and let rise 1 hour.
    Pour out on board; roll flat.
    Cut and let rise until light.
    Fry in oil at 375\u00b0.
