Passion Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
    1 c. sugar
    1 (3 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Prepare cake per instructions on box, 9 x 13 glass pan. In saucepan, combine pineapple with juice and sugar. Cook over medium heat until sugar is melted. Leave cake in pan. Using a fork, punch holes over all the cake while it is hot. Spread pineapple mixture over hot cake. Chill with cover.
