1-2-3 Pecan Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs (unbeaten)
    1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. orange extract
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    One Bowl Method:
    Cream shortening with sugar; add dry ingredients, alternately, with remaining ingredients.
    Stir in pecans.
    Bake in greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Cool.
