Lentils - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lentils
    2 onions
    3 Tbsp. fat
    3 Tbsp. plain flour
    salt, vinegar and sugar
Preparation
    Wash lentils and soak overnight.
    Place in a large pan, adding 4 pints of hot water.
    Simmer until the lentils begin to soften, stirring from time to time.
    When the lentils are half-cooked, add the chopped onions and continue to simmer until the lentils are quite tender.
