Cold Oven Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 c. milk plus 1 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Fold in vanilla, lemon extract and milk.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan and place in a cold oven.
    Turn oven onto 325\u00b0 and bake for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
