Meaty Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 lb. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 (32 oz.) jars Prego sauce
2 medium onions, diced into chunks
1 medium green pepper, diced
1 pkg. Spatini spaghetti sauce mix
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. oregano
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Brown ground beef in skillet with onions and green pepper; break up beef with a fork.
Drain and put ground beef into crock-pot.
Add all other ingredients and cook on low for several hours (or while at work!).
Makes approximately enough sauce to serve over spaghetti for 8.
May be frozen in various serving sizes in Ziploc storage bags or plastic containers suitable for freezing.
Stores well.
Tastes better the second day.
Thaw and reheat to serve over variety of different pastas.
Recipe can be varied using Italian sausage or mixing sliced pepperoni with the ground beef.
