Southern Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. milk
    approximately 1 1/2 qt. chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. chopped, cooked chicken (I prefer chicken breasts)
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a
    large
    mixing
    bowl, combine 2 cups of flour with buttermilk and shortening. Mix well.
    Gradually add more flour until it forms a very firm dough.
    Roll out on floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
    Cut into 1 1/2 inch wide strips.
