Lye Soap - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 can lye
2 1/2 pt. water
1 handful Borax
6 lb. fat, cut in 1-inch pieces

will need a wooden spoon, a lined cardboard box, rubber
gloves,
a\tthermometer
and
1 blanket for this recipe. Use stainless steel or granite containers only.
