Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green tomatoes, sliced
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    salad oil
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes in 1/4-inch slices.
    Combine salt, pepper and corn meal; dredge tomato slices.
    Place in a heavy skillet of hot oil.
    Fry slowly until brown, turning once.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
