Martin Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 sq. chocolate
    1/2 c. hot water
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Melt chocolate in water on stove and add
    to
    creamed
    mixture.
    Add
    soda to buttermilk, then add flour
    and milk alternately to mixture.
    Add vanilla, then eggs and mix (eggs must be added last or the cake will be ruined). Bake in 8-inch square or 9-inch round layers or in 9 x 13-inch pan at\t350\u00b0
    for
    25 minutes.\tMay bake as cupcakes too.
