Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter or margarine)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together the shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
    Mix together and chill dough. Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon.
    Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 400\u00b0 oven. Yields 6 dozen cookies.
