Frozen Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    2 medium apples, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
    Add enough water to reserved juice to measure 1/2 cup.
    Combine with eggs, sugar, salt and lemon juice in saucepan; mix well.
    Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Cool.
    Add pineapple, celery, apples and pecans; mix well.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Spoon into an 8-inch square glass dish.
    Freeze until firm.
    Let stand at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
    Yield:
    8 servings.
