Butterscotch Pecan Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. pecan nuts
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. pecan nuts
Preparation
    Melt
    butter and blend with sugar.
    Add slightly beaten egg. Let
    mixture stand to cool.
    Add sifted and measured dry ingredients.
    Stir\tin
    pecans.
    Spread
    in
    a greased pan 8 x 8-inches.
    Bake
    in
    350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Cut in squares and let cool in pan.
