Gingerbread(Recipe 100 Years Old) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. bacon fat or lard
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. dark molasses
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream bacon fat or lard with sugar until light.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating thoroughly after each.
    Beat in molasses.
    Sift dry ingredients together, add alternately with buttermilk to first mixture, beating until smooth.
    Pour in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
