White Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white chocolate, grated
    1/2 c. boiling water
    2/3 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 egg yolks
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda in buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    6 egg whites, beaten stiffly
Preparation
    Set the first 2 ingredients aside to cool.
    Cream Crisco and sugar well; add egg yolks one at a time.
    Add cooled chocolate mixture.
    Add milk and flour alternately using with flour.
    Add egg whites.
    Add to batter 1 cup coconut and cup pecans (optional).
    Bake in 3 layers at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
