Raisin Apple Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. seedless raisins
apples, peeled and sliced
Preparation

Cream butter with sugar and egg.
Add milk, then flour sifted together with baking powder and salt.
Stir in raisins.
Spread on greased and floured square pan, 9 x 9.
Arrange thinly sliced apples over the batter; press in slightly.
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixed with 2 teaspoons sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 35 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.
