Mexican Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    2 c. kidney beans, rained
    1/2 c. red French dressing
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 c. shredded lettuce
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    8 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat.
    Drain and add onions.
    Cook until tender.
    Stir in beans, French dressing, water and chili powder.
    Simmer for 20 minutes.
    Take off heat.
    Add 4 ounces cheese.
    Put mixture over lettuce and toss.
    Add the remaining cheese before serving.
